This is a reprint of Robinson Jeffers’ 1928 narrative poem and the first in the Yolla Bolly Press’ series of California Writers of the Land. It contains an afterward by James D. Houston and four woodcuts by Mark Livingston, both of whom signed the book.

This edition is limited to 240 numbered copies of which 225, including this one, were offered for sale. It was printed on Fabriano paper with deckled edges and bound in one quarter maroon morocco over dark grey cloth with a gold-stamped spine and a blind-stamped upper board. It is enclosed in a slipcase.
